Project Notes
  • 4,200 SF
  • Transitionless indoor to outdoor spaces
  • Terraced back yard
  • Vaulted ceilings

The structure blends the minimalist aesthetic of contemporary design with the timeless warmth of Mission style. Clean horizontal lines are softened with wood and stone cladding, echoing the natural surroundings. Expansive glass walls frame views of the ever-changing landscape, blurring the lines between indoor and outdoor living.

At the heart of the home lies a kitchen courtyard, inspired by Mediterranean designs, featuring an herb garden — ensuring that the host always has an abundance of fresh herbs creating a stage for culinary exploration

The kitchen is the soul of the home. Designed as both a personal sanctuary and an interactive space, it features open shelving with hand-thrown ceramics, a custom island wrapped in honed stone, and a large-format cooktop capable of hosting impromptu cooking demonstrations. Oversized glass sliders connect the kitchen to a covered terrace, where guests can savor the chef’s creations with valley views as the backdrop.

The interiors feature warm wood floors, exposed timber beams, and hand-plastered walls. Furnishings blend mid-century silhouettes with bespoke pieces inspired by the chef’s travels, creating a sense of curated comfort.

At the heart of the home lies a rear courtyard, inspired by Mediterranean designs, a wood-fired oven — a nod to the chef’s European influences. This space becomes a stage for culinary exploration, bridging social gatherings and private retreats.

Tucked away from the public heart of the home, the master suite becomes a private retreat. Its expansive view of the California hills creates a harmonious blend of comfort and a subtle call to explore.

Terraced gardens and pool draw upon European design principles, with native plantings, stone pathways, and an infinity edge framing the golden hills of the California hill country.
